I voted for Luxon fully expecting, when he was elected, an energetic force to emerge throughout the country in the same way as is happening in the US. I've listened to him speak and within all his charm he sounds knowledgeable. But, he has manager-level energy rather than the energy of a leader. He's walking carefully with many promises of future changes...which seem very far in the future, if at all. He doesn't loudly challenge complacency and the bureaucracy plainly disrespect him. In comparison, I hear Winston take forthright stands and watch David use creativity to challenge our public workers and the media. Both these men take a common sense approach to change and what is needed for the country to go forward. It's as if many New Zealanders can see the problems we're facing, have common knowledge of the changes needed and watch in frustration as much is left in undone promises. We're treated like children as the supposed mysterious forces of politics continue to rattle on with the same old faces and ideas. Politicians move around as if in a game of musical chairs, to new positions, for odd and unknown reasons to the public. There are very few fresh new faces with fresh new ideas to replace a Labour and Green Party who both propagandize their form of socialism as somehow regenerating the country into new solutions and happiness for all. It all feels rather hapless.
A shocking display of disrespect . No matter whether you like Luxon , National or not the man is a very hard working PM doing his best to repair the damage labour inflicted on country. Keep politics out of sport . The people who booed in my opinion are idiots
Yes, it is disrespectful, but Luxon doesn't deserve respect. He's been a poor leader for National, and NZ, and many of us traditional supporters of his party will not vote for it while he remains its leader. I think he's going to get a shock in the next election.
What is it that makes him a poor leader in your opinion.? Prior to him becoming leader National was in a state of chaos and as a good leader he has developed a strong loyal team. And amongst the people I know who are traditional National supporters are pleased with his work and certainly don’t want a left govt.
Here's one: New Zealand as a nation is under attack by an anti-democratic dogma to install and grant privileged position to the first immigrants to this land. Our nation, as a a diverse collection of ethnicities united as citizens, will be irreparably damaged by this tribalism. Luxon says nothing; either because he agrees with the process, or he's too gutless and stupid to understand the danger. Either way, he's a liability. Humpty Dumpty is overdue for his fall.
In my experience Netball and Rugby have been over run by left leaning - virtue signalling gits.
Ive no time for any of the pathetic political displays they endorse…
Having said that…
Horse face was often booed and jeered - we are just completely over the lot of them…

It was a setup by liebor!
The boos were for the Netball NZ CE and Chair for their handling of the Sky renegotiation. This is poor reporting
I would have boo'd him myself to be honest.
Shouldn’t boo anyone at sports events.
Change of subject, Matua did you see this?

Wonder how NZ stacks up. Nice to have numbers behind what one suspects.
