I thought it would have changed with the coalition, but obviously not.

I say yet again that our education system has been rolling out Marxist educated children to fill these roles in the public service, for decades. It's smart in it's own way and hard to fight. Perhaps a smarter and more likeable Trump like leader.

Whilst completing my voting papers, I followed the link as far as,

“Establishing Māori wards and constituencies provides an inclusive and democratic avenue for councils to collaborate with Māori, fostering positive relationships and ensuring decisions benefit the entire community.”

Saw this bias, but thought it must be allowed, it didn't change my mind.

I wish people could understand that we are all individuals, we do not vote oneway or another, because of our race.

Being able to have a referendum, on any issue, is a great way to see what the general public are thinking, without deliberate interference like this.

Thanks Matua, for sharing this.

Māori wards are an insult. They imply Māori cannot win seats on merit alone, which is simply not true.

Yep, just another form of DEI!

The left, by their words and action are always implying that Maori and Pacifica can't compete, this so wrong and racist, but many people can't see this for what it is!

I have no doubt that in my area (Sth Taranaki) we will vote in favour of Maori wards. A/ People just do not care and bugger all bother voting B/ The Council voted in favour of them and not one opposes because they are all afraid of the "racist" tag.

Plus of course the Government doesn't know what the hell it is doing about all this bullshit either.

Thankfully I saw Mike Hosking has made a very refined comment on Auck Uni dropping their compulsory Maori Course and the damage it has done.....so I think things might be turning. We're watching this so-called split between Te Pati Maori and Te Totu though.......all might not be what it seems there eh!

The Commission is a "Crown entity". Does that mean it can escape scrutiny and accountability? For the 2023 election the Commission required all polling station staff to undergo partisan political indoctrination in "Te Tiriti". Then there were serious discrepancies in the vote count notably undercounting votes for the National Party eg Port Waikato. The final result was delivered absurdly late, delaying the Coalition negotiations and the installation of a new government. The Commission needs to be thoroughly investigated.
