That was a perfect, and perfectly entertaining, piece to start the long weekend.

Reads like it was fun to write too.

Fabulous !

Thanks Sylvia! It definitely took some time to write, I was making edits throughout the week as new, news reports came in. I only do satire once a week now, so I figured I might as well put some effort into it!

I heard that Lee sent Debbie to interview Karen Chhour for character development and insights to state care. As it turns out: Karen IS Māori enough.

Surely a cameo role for Chris Hipkins too. Perhaps as a traffic warden intimidated by Jake the bikie.

Sheer brilliance! ❤️ One of your very best - thoroughly enjoyed the read, even if left even more disturbed by the current of truth that ran within the satirical musings.

Brilliant! Good satire is based in intelligence, wit, a willingness to expose pretension and hypocrisy and a sense of humour. You nailed this and have written a more informative political commentary than Labour's entire PR arm at Stuffed.

Please, please, please tell me that no-one has had to have this explained as satire?

Can’t wait for the scene with the security at Pak n Save unloading the unpaid-for trolleys into the Ford Rangers. The innocent entitlement on the faces should be worth the price of admission.

To be fair, it was likely a “$0 week” at PnS.

Love the satire. Nothing enrages ideologues and extremists than being made fun of. Keep it up.
