At the moment we have a spineless govt main party with a co governance agenda, an opposition of lunatics and maori radicals with an agenda of destruction, plus a population that will vote anyone in so long as they get free stuff. Just wait until we get an Indian/Asian govt, its coming and then the population heads for 100 million. On the plus side the maoris will become extinct.

My thoughts too Rod. I doubt if the Indians or Chinese will be saying prayers for kauri trees.

Ken's avatar

The Kauiri will all be harvested and exported.....tute suite.

The Australian Race Discrimination Commissioner is an interesting choice

This FTA bill has thrown us a whammy and the video you provided shows that New Zealanders are being overlooked for work in our own country. This is COVID.2.

On another note Matua you would make a great candidate for NZ First!!

Have a GREAT Friday:-)

Another thing that’s kind of pissing me off, maybe I’m being a but sensitive but I watch ads on TV or maybe street interviews and it seems to me the ratio of white Nzer vs any other culture doesn’t reflect our demographic anymore. Am I right?

Stuart Lee's avatar

Advertising agencies are super woke, I try and avoid their products

Ken's avatar

Reflecting actual demographics would be wholly against their woke view.

White, CIS men are the violent ones...right?

You are right, it should be the law that only New Zealand-born people can hold any position in any government position.

They will argue that they have to bring in foreigners to fill these positions.

If we need to do that, why are we paying people to be on the dole?

I like you're thinking. This same situation exists in Australia. I think Aussies and Kiwis have a residual hatred for bureaucratic work but Indians do not, nor Chinese and many Asians.

Ken's avatar

Well you could do the job even with a degree in gender studies or whatever....

I do watch Border Control often and this foreign ‘takeover’ isn’t new. Indians seem to infiltrate roles of authority very quickly, potentially securing a member of their race as recruiter. If you look at administrative jobs say in hospitals or council you’ll find many Indians. If you look at jobs that require hard graft and physical effort, not so many if any.

David Hancock's avatar

So true. There are Indians who do "hard graft" but they are not wily enough to leave their country of birth.

IT also begs the question about what tourists arriving in NZ think they have come to.... Blandistan, Aotearoastan or whatever. We shoud be managing our external image as well as just policing the border...

I got done at Christchurch airport back in 22 or 23. I had not done one of their fucking tests. The guy who levied me with a 1k fine was Chinese (and Chinese Chinese not NZ Chinese, I suspected at the time that the Govt he worked for was also Chinese) albeit at the time was a little hard to see with the stupid masks. A guy on the same flight with the same issue was fined $500.

I worked in a position that required interaction with a large city Council. In the 8 years I had contact with them, I distinctly remember the on time I had dealings with a council official that spoke with a Kiwi accent.

Kiwis have an innate dislike of bureaucratic procedures and people, so do Aussies coincidentally. So Indians, Chinese and other Asians are happy to fill those well paid but boring, authoritarian positions. I like Nigel's suggestion that these positions should by law be filled by Kiwis but that would preclude that we give them more autonomy. And I reckon we should. The old days of Cops giving the town's louts a boot up the arse are well and truly gone but we need to rip the rules enough to have people we can trust enough in these places.

In the USA a lot of border control are Mexican!

Unfortunately it's not just the boarder failing to protect us, we have excessive empathy within the gates too. Just look at this:

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/crime-and-justice/594362/auckland-bus-driver-found-guilty-of-trapping-student-on-bus-indecently-assaulting-her

According to the article "He found the charge proved, but Kumar's lawyer, Angus Graham, asked that a conviction not be entered yet, as it would cause immigration issues for Kumar."

There SHOULD be immigration issues for Kumar! Surely the court realizes that we don't want bus drivers who paw the customers. We don't want bus drivers that don't speak English. We have to stop protecting miscreants so that they can immigrate to NZ. Enough already!
