Could not agree more.

The fact that the odious, rabid racist is the main beneficiary of this corrupt practice is hardly surprising.

So too the fact that his Irish co - leader is 3rd in the rort ranking demonstrates not only the unbelievable abuse of taxpayers and their ill used funds but their enthusiastic support of everything the gullible “ whitey “ provide.

Meanwhile, the utterly useless, flaccid Speaker views this from his high chair in the House and allows this corrupt practice to continue along with the absolute and appalling deterioration of dress standards.

This is a deliberate and intentional campaign to bring the House into disrepute.

Any visitor to parliament could be excused for thinking that they had entered the debating chamber of a 3 rd world Central African banana republic where the lawbreakers outnumber the lawmakers.

Welcome to the New Zimbabwe of the South Pacific.

Totally….and right on “Hu”. Totally gormless individual slurping at the trough. How can we drive your idea forward?

How about our community agrees to forward it to five NZ MPs, RNZ News, ZB, and whom ever else emails they might have. I think it’s got legs right now. I sense a worldwide drive for integrity

I’ve submitted the petition to Parliament. Now it’s just a waiting game for their approval, after which I’ll start encouraging people to sign it.

Think it is a good one brother. It’s an opportunity for our democratic reps to demonstrate where they stand. I’m right in here on this one….”transparency” who can argue on that one!

If disclosure of expenses was presented as member’s bill in Parliament, it would get the publicity it needs.

I agree. Something should happen, immediately. However, I believe the likes of Waititi, Packer etc would still spend like drunken sailors. They just don’t care. Even better, all spending should be scrutinised and if found unnecessary, payment should be denied. THAT would be a better way forward.

speaking as a former seafarer, I would stop the spree when the money ran out and I had to go to work. Stop the money. Simple.

I believe there is a mindset among those spending the tax payers money, with no positive outcomes. It's a deliberate ploy, from a criminal mentality, and should be treated so!

By doing it, do you think it would make a difference?

If we could see that a particular MP was spending $250 or more a week at a café, it would be embarrassing for them. The same goes for regular spending at restaurants or bars. Clear patterns would emerge, and the public would finally be able to properly scrutinise how each MP is using taxpayer money.

Then again, some MPs are in Parliament purely for the grift, so they wouldn’t care at all.

As Matua said, by exposing the sheer enormity of excess spending to the voting public, hopefully it will curb their behaviour. If not, we know who not to vote for. It's our money going to feed their extravaganza!

100% line by line expenses should be disclosed. It happens in local government, so why not central government?

MPs expenses should come out of their salary and only claim on direct parliamentary business not on their own political activities

Great idea for those still intending on voting these grifters in...all of them...all parties really would be some kind of accountability but hey who would blame him...isn't it there for the taking? Presented on a platter...special rules, rates and allowances? Bugger voting for any of them. Whoever gets in will have to follow the plan to take over zee world where Emperors of empires will replace everyones "choice". No Presidents and Prime Ministers eventually it seems.
