Yep. Because there’s no 2nd or 3rd chance for the victim.

Three chances too many for some

Three strikes .. 3 opportunities for sexual offenders to harm 3 children. And each time they're likely to escalate.

Why 3 strikes?

I give children 3 chances to build and instil their self discipline as they grow.

These offenders are Adults not Children .. these are Adults harming Children!

First time = sentence

Second time = the traditional Chinese Eunuch treatment, while conscious and no pain relief!

One of the strangest and sickest things one reads in court reports is that Mr Xyz was a first offender. No, he has a gazillion child abuse files on his devices,. No, seven boys have given evidence of his abuse of them. What it appears to mean is this is the FIRST time he has been nabbed by the police! First time he has been in court. Then to make my blood boil, the judge refers to him as a first offender. Face facts Your Honour, call him what he is - a constant offender.

That same bullshytte expresseion "first offender" is used about other offences too - "in possession of eleven chainsaws reported stolen from farms in Southland and Otago". It should never be used , and sentences should never get a discount because of it, unless it is 100% true. When it comes to sexual offending against children, is it ever? Does any perve have ONE child sex photograph, just ONE?

Should only be two Strikes. Mitigating circumstances allowed to be considered in the first offence, maximum sentence only for a second offence!

Yep, they're sick puppies for sure! If they were vehicles, nothing short of a complete rewire & engine transplant would cure the problem! But we humans are somewhat more complex so a fix for these deviates is very rare.

Chemical castration drugs are LHRH (or GnRH) agonists - the same drug that's used on children for puberty blockers.

While it's s deplorable to give it to children, it's perfectly deployed on deviants, in order to keep children safe.

Third strike use would be generous anyway. I bet that any parent of a child victim would plead for it to apply after the first incident.

Totally support what you're saying Matua.

If fact i would go on step further for pre meditated murder , it should be a life for a life . If there's a definitive connection to the murder which can know be down by DNA ,then you pay the ultimate consequence.
