Absolutely!!

Im amazed that an ACT MP would do this. I agree with you. Seymour now needs to front up and explain the real ACT position.

Yesterday when questioned over this by journalists, he said Brian Tamaki was a "Dickhead" and basically deserved it.

I have voted for ACT in the past, but they will not get my vote now. They did not listen to their voters, many of whom do not want the Indian FTA. Now, their Indian politician has launched an attack on free speech she doesn't like & their candidate for Papakura, also Indian & vocal against any voices against the FTA. Not forgetting the Indian Association proclaiming to the government that they had better do what they want or they will block vote against them.

We have now become suddenly aware that we as a country are on extremely shaky ground & much closer to falling into the dystopian hell hole like the UK & Europe than previously realised.

Brian Tamaki has made a stand on this & has been pointing it out for a long time & now lawfare has been set on him to shut him up.

I stand with him to make New Zealand a better place.

Remember that the MP in question is a former list MP of the National Party and jumped ship after failing to be reelected in 2020.

Given an ACT candidate was outed as a CCP plant, you've got to wonder about candidate vetting don't you.

Agreed and i have voted ACT before, but not now, will be NZF.

Well said! Exactly my thoughts as well, as indeed it appears a lot of (maybe now former) ACT supporters feel.

I was actually at the ACT rally on Sunday! And impressed with David and his team, and what was said. Now? Unbelievably disappointed. I’m just hoping Parmar just went rogue and David didn’t know of her plans. Maybe?

I’ve emailed David saying just that. And I’m forwarding your email as well to him because it very eloquently nails it!

I have never liked Ms Parmar. Closet fascist.

Act are in real trouble.

And if Seymour wants to view a prize dickhead he need only look in a mirror.

We have difficult choices to make in this election. It is entirely feasible the lunatic left will win.

There are some good people in Act who are sorely needed in Government.

Ms Parmar is not one of them.

This is right on the money! Your assessment of the Act party has caught up with my own made a while ago as they talk about freedom of expression but only to suit their own ends. The reporting by and then disclosing that she did it, is just to gain kudos of the public and the press which so far is not been seen in the MSM yet.

Can the ACT MP now write a letter to the Police laying a belated complaint about that quite disgusting, disturbing & threatening poem from Tusiata Avia a few years ago. Thanks.

I totally agree with your perspective. I too was both amazed and concerned at the comments of the MP and the ACT leader. Having mentally dismissed gutless National last election (and IMO proven correct in my assessment) I regularly bounce between ACT and NZF. Despite a strong and logical ethic, Seymour also seems to routinely act like the smart-arse 4th former. While I was willing to look past their amoral attitude to both the beginning and end of human life, in hope of a payoff in the form of equal rights, this is yet another occasion when I am disappointed. While I do feel for the personal and racist attacks on the MP (seemingly made by non-European Kiwis), Tamaki’s comments appear legitimate (albeit hyperbolic) in the context of political debate and should have been dealt with in that forum. I dearly hope that NZF actually lives up its promises. If not, our nation is well and truly screwed.

He should have immediately apologized and then explained his anger, but his outburst was wrong …. And very unfortunate, he needs to humble himself over this, have an apology meeting with those community leaders, not so sure about

Muslim leaders unless they have signed up to allowing apostasy without death……

As always you are bang on!

to br fair calling for burning temples and mosques goea beyond acceptable free speech and also demonstrates not fit and proper to hold a firearms licence.

Rear Admiral's avatar

So why did the police not act upon it the first instance? Why did it take a political intervention before police acted?

C S's avatar

I don't know what is worse, reporting Tamaki to the police or publicly posting a cringe worthy virtue signalling pat me on the back statement.

See, this is part of the takedown of western nations! Indians etc are being placed in high institutions to take over! Heard it’s happening in other western countries and is full on!
