Good grief

If I was to say this happens in NZ courts..an outsider would call me a conspiracy theorist! Collusion between the courts and the wealthy and/or powerful?? How bizarre…

NZ is for sale

The underbelly of this country is a truly hideous thing and for some reason it’s all on display these last few years…

With moral bankruptcy demonstrated by our leaders…are we surprised??

Who was defending the hideous soul? Denton’s? Linda Clarke? Is he a buddy of the ex-deputy police commissioner?

This is wrong from every angle! The judge is complicit by her actions!😡

The judge should be kicked off the bench

Who ever appointed this judge? People are steadily losing faith in our judiciary. Either incompetent or political activists or both.

All name suppression does is make people speculate and apparently on twitter fingers are already pointing at an individual because we are a small country and sleuths are picking up on what was said in the NBR article and how it was worded. If it is this person, it is BIG and will disrupt the narrative. Also international press and podcasters are not subject to nz laws so nothing can stop it being picked up by the likes of Candace Owens. .. on the other hand if this person is innocent, the judge is still to blame!!

The author used gender neutral pronouns and referred to the convict as a person. Well “she” would be rare and arouse suspicion and “he” could be “misgendering” as many media companies are signed up to be “inclusive”. This may mean that the person belongs to a certain community. This is the conclusion some are making on X. (I am not on X but I am told that is what is happening)

The family of this sadistic fiend should hang themselves in shame, or they themselves committing these vile acts too?

It was always my understanding that name suppression was a tool to protect innocent victims when a relationship between perp and victim can be made. In this case the identity of children in these vile images is never going to be exposed so name suppression is not required. To discount a sentence to that level shows corruption as far as I’m concerned. Maybe it’s time ordinary NZers made a more firm stand and demanded more from our judiciary. The charities who received the funds carry a level of taint too

We are spitting tacks in this household, as the saying goes. There are absolutely NO words strong enough to describe this perverted disgusting behaviour, and to get time off for "good character"?????? WTF can possibly be good about this perp?Soooo, we can't "name and shame" this person but we surely can shame that judge! She should resign at once, and be kicked out of the country for allowing that perversion and travesty of justice to occur.
