Incredible! My husband worked for a DHB (when they were called that back then) in I.T. His colleague found significant, serious, hard porn on the Intranet account of a senior H.R. manager. He reported it to management. The porn collector/watcher kept working there. He eventually resigned about a year+ later, and not for any reason connected to his filthy mind and disgusting habit. He was an immigrant. Should have had his visa or citizenship revoked and sent back to his home country. Had this been an employee they would have been fired. But managers, never, they are always given chances they don't deserve. Two tier justice in New Zealand.

I'm not a techie and dont use a mobile phone. To me it sounds rather like the internet - isn't there a button where one can disable stuff like that. In reality it comes down to parental supervision. Totally agree, digital ID should not be employed at all.,

Yip it’s a worry but Digital ID is not the solution

Problem Reaction Solution…

Issue .. kids accessing stuff they shouldn't be viewing.

It's a large leap to demand digital ID for all NZrs! Where is parental control?

Mandatory digital drivers licenses ... why? What is broken with current ones? (BTW .. we used to have life time drivers licenses until that was changed without a mandate or clear rationale for doing so).

Automated, digital RUCs for all road users ... can understand rationale for fairer road user contribution (aka another rubber band of taxation) .. but why Digital?what's wrong with manual?

At what point does one wake up one morning to find the small, successive, sequential 'convenience sales pitch' has completely eroded ones freedom of choice, thought, movement and speech?

Right on, it's the slow creep - purposely and by design so it doesn't alarm the masses. We don't get to 1984 over night, it's a steady slow strategy. All very detailed and written in Agenda 2030 if people bothered to read it...

It's not a coincidence that all the 5Eyes nations are pitching digital IDs at the same time.
