Yes, Grace's name was everywhere, but for all the wrong reasons. I found the media was pretty brutal on her too, due to how she was murdered and the circumstances around it, aka Tinder and the way she died. Te Anihana's disappearance shows laziness within the Police, I hope they find her.

Good on you Matua for reminding the country about this young girl's disappearance.

Let's hope she's OK.

I really hope she’s okay; she sounded like a bright young woman. It seems there may have been some mental health issues around the time she disappeared, but in a city blanketed with CCTV, you’d think they would have some idea where she went after leaving Sky City.

Its typical of the brought n paid for media in this woke country. Its the same when maori babies are murdered by whanau. Its not good enough and someone knows something thats for sure. I dont think comparing the millane case to this girl is really relevant, what happened to grace was absolutely disgusting and whether her parents are loaded or not is irrelevant. In saying that i hope and pray this poor girl is found alive and her family can get the answers they need

In Aussie media Grace would've been called a "good sort"...instant Frontpage.....sorry just stating facts and it looks like NZ has followed suit. Of course we feel for this young Maori woman. It’s heart-wrenching for family.......

There's surely more than meets the eye here. What is her family's attitude to extensive publicity? and what are the circumstances of her disappearance? And are the 2 questions connected ?

Her family have been speaking to the media extensively and have flown from the South Island to join the search themselves. They’re likely taking matters into their own hands because they suspect those paid to investigate may be treating it as just another case of a Māori woman going missing...

Here’s the article about their search: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/family-renews-search-for-missing-woman-last-seen-leaving-aucklands-skycity/M3OYUHMUDZCRDLC2556QWI5HSU/

Just calling it as it is. A British millionaire’s daughter goes missing and it’s nonstop headlines. A wāhine Māori from the South Island disappears in Auckland, and there’s barely a peep.

What a worrying situation for her family and friends. What is wrong with our media? (That's a rhetorical question, we all know the answer to that!!). Let's hope she is found very soon, alive and well.

Te Anihana's family and friends have been posting on Facebook for weeks, starting low-key, have you seen our sister, she hasn't been in touch. Was she "missing"? Was she lost or in a bad place, or was she on holiday, meeting new people, having a great time too busy to think about keeping in touch? Time went on, it didn't seem right. The way she was when she left the casino wasn't right, not when she didn't surface late the next day with a massive hangover. It's a tricky one for police. She was on holiday, not the first young person to go wild'n'crazy in the Big City. No fixed arrangements for meeting anyone or keeping in touch, just the normal texts, photos, facebook, that go on every day whether at the other end of the country or 2 blocks away. It took so long for her to be definitely seen as "missing" even security camera records may have been deleted, they are not always kept very long when "nothing happened".

How terribly sad. This world really has become a two-tier place with fame and money seemingly dictating what sort of treatment you receive from government and its service agencies. Praying for her and her family.
